Challenges

SEEDS wanted a website to enable the schools they work with to communicate with their students, teachers, and students. They were building a novel program of personalized school safety. They needed to coordinate engineers and architects in evaluating disaster preparedness and estimating the risk faced by children, teachers, and parents.

Solution

SEEDS partnered with Blackcoffer to create a website with:

Public pages open to all to communicate:

  1. Updates on what has been done
  2. What’s currently happening in the projects.
  3. What is planned to be done by SEEDS.
  4. Scheduled and upcoming events.
  5. Metrics of schools safety
  6. Impact on metrics of current & planned projects.

Private (login protected) pages that enabled members to;

  1. A dashboard of progress with multiple metrics.
  2. Compare the school’s safety scores and help discuss what can be done to improve the metrics

Business Impact

The website is now a real-time safety rating barometer. It helps

  1. schools key management or principal to discover how they are performing in their various safety measures at the school.
  2. enable discussions in a channel between schools and program managers to brainstorm and come up with ideas faster.
  3. the school’s communicating activity to parents, children and the safety score program managers.
  4. program managers to evaluate the school’s activity and plan further improvements.
  5. key stakeholders compare schools performance across regions, states, and countries.
