Following are the steps that shall be taken for the on page SEO

2.1        Find video keywords

  1. Keywords for YouTube are a bit different from keywords that appear on search engines like Google or Bing.
  2. e.g., if you search for “how to make cake,” you’ll see a ton of video results, and at least one is from YouTube. So Keywords that start with “how to.”

2.2        Rename your video file using a target keyword.

  1. Rename your raw file so that it reflects your title or your focus keyword.eg. Raw fine name-1234.mp4 to how_to_use_hello_bar.mp4

2.3         Optimize your tags

2.21    Add some suspense

  1. Start off your video with a bit of suspense.
  2.  Don’t create dramatic cliffhangers, but something has to be at stake.
  3.  Another option is to ask a question. It doesn’t matter too much how you do it, but you want your viewers to keep watching.
  4.  Creating a bit of suspense is one of the best ways to accomplish that.

Using playlists is one of those small but mighty tactics that can increase view time and retention.

2.23    Get featured on another channel

  1. If you have a YouTube channel about food, find a channel that’s all about beverages. If you have a marketing channel, find a sales channel.
  2. Make sure you get a link to your channel! You can even ask for an annotation.
