The client was intended to help the Micro Business Sentiment Analysis in New Jersey city with the help of the social media and social media awareness programs. The micro-business was facing difficulties to make their presence on the social platforms and engage their customers in the platforms themselves.

The client wanted Blackcoffer to help them with their digital marketing solutions by creating their social media presence, engaging their customers on the social platforms, and increasing the customer experiences by performing social analytics and analyzing the customer sentiments towards their brands and products that they sell.

Solution for Micro Business Sentiment Analysis

Blackcoffer studied the business cases of the micro-businesses and CASID businesses based in the New Jersey city. The customer experience platform was designed and developed for each of the micro and CASID businesses in the New Jersey city.

NLTK’s VADER module was utilized to get the sentiment score for the reviews, comments, and tweets. In the case of tweets, all tweets by the Business’s twitter handle as well as those hash-tagging the business or addressed to the business (#Business and @Business) were included. The sentiment score which was obtained was continuous in the range of -1 to 1 with -1 being most negative and 1 being most positive. It was then segmented into five equal sentiment classes equally spaced from -2 to 2 in order to lump nearby sentiment scores. The final observations have been drawn on both these scores. Furthermore, some of the reviews and tweets were found to have improbable dates such as in the future or long past, and hence they were omitted from the trend analysis.
